In Israel, doctors sewed the head of a 12-year-old boy injured in an accident (2 photos)
The child was taken to the operating table in Jerusalem directly from streets. There were no predictions, since in such cases 70% of patients die either on the spot or on the way to the hospital.
Twelve-year-old Palestinian Suleiman Hassan rode bicycle when he was hit by a car. The boy was rushed to traumatology department of the Hadassah Medical Center and immediately operated on. Doctors said his head was "almost completely separated from the base of the neck."
Internal decapitation occurs when a sudden blow on the head leads to rupture of the ligaments and muscles that hold the skull in the desired position on the upper vertebrae of the spine, but the blood supply to the brain somehow saved.
The Daily Mail writes about the miracle that Israeli doctors created.
Dr. Ohad Einav, orthopedic specialist, supervised operation, said that the procedure took several hours and required, that doctors use "new plates and fixators in the damaged area".
We were able to save the child thanks to our knowledge and the most innovative technologies in the operating room,” Einav said, adding that the team "fought for the boy's life."
The doctor and his team also stated that the predicted Hassan's survival rate was less than 50% and his recovery is nothing nothing but a miracle.
Apparently, Tim explains that about the results of the operation announced only now, although it was held more than a month ago. Against all odds, Suleiman survived and seemingly without even visible consequences. Sensitivity is not lost, everything moves, walks by itself.
A miracle is no different.
