A giant wave covered the boat and changed the course of the rescue operation

The Coast Guard responded to an SOS signal from a small boat drifting at the mouth of the Columbia River, on the border between the states of Washington and Oregon.
One of the rescuers from a helicopter captured his colleague swimming towards the ship and a huge wave that capsized the boat.
According to media reports, as a result of the operation, the captain of the sunken boat was rescued.
Later it turned out that the boat was stolen in Canada and the rescued young man was arrested at the request of the police from British Columbia, who declared a wanted fugitive.
