Divers in the Maldives get into a fight 18 meters underwater

During a dive off Kuda Rah Thila in the Maldives, a conflict broke out among several divers. According to Chinese instructor Xiao Du, one of the participants pushed him and struck him with a fin. Two more then joined the scuffle. The fight took place at a depth of about 18 meters, with one participant attempting to pull off another's mask.

"According to the information we have, the conflict began with an incident involving a dive guide from another vessel and one of our guests, after which our dive team intervened. We acknowledge that serious allegations were subsequently raised regarding the conduct of our professional diver. These allegations, along with all the circumstances of the incident, require a thorough and impartial review,"

Following the altercation, the National Boating Association of Maldives (NBAM) stated that it is also investigating the incident.
