Inmates fought with visitors in an Australian prison
A fight involving prisoners and their relatives occurred in the state of New South Wales in southeastern Australia. The conflict began in the visiting room.
The incident occurred in the Bathurst Correctional Facility on February 8. The conflict began in the visiting room, its reasons have not been officially named. It is only known that two prisoners got into a fight with each other. Their relatives, two women and one man, who came to visit, quickly joined the fight.
CCTV cameras recorded how guards immediately rushed to separate the fighters. Despite their efforts, the participants managed to inflict numerous blows on each other and the staff. The prison guard was the most seriously injured, suffering a broken arm.
