Trunk passengers started a loud fight on board, forcing the plane to make an emergency landing
A fight broke out between drunken passengers when one of them spat in the face of another passenger.
Eyewitnesses told reporters that the passenger first drank vodka straight from the bottle before attacking the man. At one point, the passenger began yelling at another man, who had complained about their behavior in the air. He then got into an argument with another passenger.
One eyewitness claimed that the woman, who had been drinking alcohol, spat in the man's face during the drunken argument.
"An alarming announcement was made warning all passengers to remain calm or we would have to land in Kosovo. And soon after, a second announcement was made about our landing," a witness to the incident noted.
Ultimately, the plane, which departed London's Gatwick Airport on Wednesday evening, was forced to land 650 miles short of its destination in Antalya. The plane was forced to divert to Pristina International Airport in Kosovo after flight attendants were unable to calm a dispute between passengers.
