A drunk artist grabbed a fellow traveler by the hair on an airplane, spat at her
On August 25, Livia Rombola filed a lawsuit against budget airline Southwest after a drunk artist attacked her before taking off from LaGuardia Airport in New York. Rombola claims that the airline's policy of free seating on board may have contributed to the incident, as passengers choose their own seats on a first-come, first-served basis.
Lianna Perry, 32, was caught on video grabbing a fellow passenger by the hair, insulting her, and spitting in her face as they boarded the plane. Several people pulled the troublemaker away from the victim.
In court, the woman claimed that Southwest employees failed to stop Perry in time and allowed her to board a flight to Kansas. In July, the company stopped offering customers the service of choosing any seat. However, the practice will resume on January 26, 2026.
