British 100-gun first-rank ship HMS Royal William, 1719 
The resemblance to the real ship was achieved by selecting valuable wood species that matched the color and texture of the ship: beech for the underwater part, maple for the deck, and pear and ebony for the sides. The sides are lined with mahogany veneer on the inside. The masts are made of solid pear. The hull was not painted during construction. The model is approximately 115 cm long.
