Western teenagers are going crazy over stress-relieving dumplings
More and more videos featuring unboxing of stress-relieving dumplings are appearing online. Teenagers want translucent dumplings or ones with glitter. Anything else throws them into hysterics.
They're simply soft toys shaped like dumplings (Asian dumplings), sold in various colors but in sealed packages, so you can't tell in advance which version you'll get.
Everyone wants the glittery version or the unusual gradient version. They film the unboxing and their reactions, showing people overjoyed at the rare dumpling or utterly upset when they get a regular one. It leads to tears and hysterics.
Lines form at stores, and unboxing videos get millions of views on TikTok.
The madness doesn't end there. Some people even microwave the toys, hoping they'll change color or become even softer. There have already been cases where the shell has burst from the heat, and the hot gel has left burns.
The most basic box costs just a few dollars. We officially live in "Idiocracy."
