The assassin's leap became a reality: Red Bull athletes set a world record
Four Red Bull athletes put on an extreme show inspired by the Assassin's Creed series and officially broke the world record for the "leap of faith." The athletes recreated the famous stunt from the game, appearing in full assassin gear and performing a series of dangerous jumps from various heights and surfaces. During the performance, the participants first leaped from a cliff into water, then from a makeshift "pirate ship" onto a special mat, and finally landed in the sand from a crane. The finale was the legendary leap of faith—an unprotected dive from an 18-meter platform into a haystack.
The previous world record for this discipline was 17 meters, but the Red Bull team beat it by a full meter. Organizers called the project one of the most spectacular collaborations between extreme sports and the gaming industry in recent years. The video of the stunt is already racking up millions of views on social media, and Assassin's Creed fans are joking that the hidden blade is now officially Guinness World Record-compliant.
