A football player joked about a bomb and left the plane in handcuffs
Argentine footballer Jesús David Emiliano Endrizzi shouted "bomb!" while boarding a plane and was removed from the flight.
The incident occurred on board a Flybondi flight from San Salvador de Jujuy to Buenos Aires, where the Argentine team Gimnasia y Esgrima de Jujuy was scheduled to play Agropecuario. Before takeoff, 32-year-old Jesús David Emiliano Endrizzi shouted "bomb!", causing panic on the plane. Despite the joke, airport staff were forced to remove all passengers from the aircraft and conduct a thorough search, as per regulations.
Video captured the moment the professional player was escorted off the plane in handcuffs. The delayed departure caused delays and cancellations of other flights, affecting more than 1,200 passengers.
The Gimnasia y Esgrima de Jujuy football team stated that it is actively cooperating with the investigation into the incident. Club president Walter Morales stated that Emiliano Endrizzi's contract could be terminated. "We're looking into it, but at this point I can't confirm anything," Morales added.
