A pelican broke into a store for free snacks

A young pelican, who had been unsuccessfully begging for food from passersby in Florida, USA, eventually decided to find his own food.
The bird entered a local supermarket and attempted to steal some snacks it liked (as many joked, the pelican should have gone straight to the seafood section). However, the theft failed, and even the harassment didn't work, as one bystander placed the pelican in a box and took it to a wildlife rehabilitation center.
The pelican is now in good health, but appears to be unable to feed itself. Experts believe the pelican was fed and has become accustomed to receiving food exclusively from people. This is why feeding such birds is illegal in Florida, as they become too dependent.
