Unlike other large and fearsome cats, cheetahs cannot roar. Instead, they meow, purr, and even chirp.
The fastest mammals on Earth and one of the most fearsome predators, unlike their brethren, cannot roar. They only purr and meow, and even "squeak" almost like birds!
Due to the structure of their larynx, cheetahs are physically unable to produce low sounds. In this regard, they are closer to domestic cats than to tigers or lions.
