The Great Wall of China is home to a large number of stray cats. They greet tourists who come to see one of the world's most famous landmarks.

The Mutianyu section, located approximately 70 km northeast of Beijing, is home to friendly cats. They can often be seen basking in the sun along the ancient walls or strolling near the watchtowers.

Basic care is provided by Mutianyu staff. A special fund with food and fresh water, the "Great Wall Cat Shelter," has also been established.

These languid, fluffy creatures have won the hearts of foreign visitors—videos of them have begun to rack up millions of views on social media.
