A Fine Japanese Tradition (2 photos)

Following the Japanese, there will be a story about an initiative to create a new tradition.

STORY ONE: Natural disasters frequently occur in Japan. Residents are left without their homes. They are forced to live in surviving school gymnasiums, prefabricated houses, etc. Sometimes even in tent cities.

According to established tradition, in such cases, the head of the local administration and his wife must temporarily relocate to the disaster zone. And he must choose the worst possible place (if he has to choose between a motel and a tent, he must move to the tent). The minimum number of officials must also move there.

And so the poor Khokim sits with his wife in the tent. They sleep in a sleeping bag. His wife brings a gas cylinder and cooks noodles. The Khokim, perched on an overturned bucket, holds meetings with the Ministry of Emergency Situations. And all around is beauty: fresh air, the ocean.

How long should he sit on the bucket? Until the issue of the last victim is resolved. The sensei is the last to leave the tent city.

In Japan, the victims' issues are resolved very quickly. And it's not some kind of Japanese efficiency. It's just that in ancient times, someone wisely decided that an official sent to a disaster site must be accompanied by his wife.

Because the official himself, alone, can live in a tent for a long time: he'll bring sake, start grilling kebabs, bring his girlfriends, arrange a fishing trip. He'll arrange a vacation for himself in the countryside. He'll live it up. That's just the way it's done (I imagine many would be happy to live in a tent by the ocean for a week or two).

But a wife won't give you that kind of happiness. She'll eat her husband alive: tired of hanging around in the tent, the kids are waiting, hurry up and finish your work, you need to go home. And the official, sighing, quickly resolves the issue.

A very wise man lived in ancient times. He knew that sending an official alone was useless. Only with his wife. He knew life and people well))

STORY TWO: "THE KARELIA MINISTRY OF FINANCE INVITES LOCAL RESIDENTS TO PLAY "FEBRUARY WITHOUT SPENDING"

The Karelian Ministry of Finance suggested giving up spontaneous purchases and learning to manage personal finances.

Residents of the republic were advised to challenge themselves with a "month without spending."

People were asked to abstain from buying clothes, going to cafes and restaurants, taking taxis, and "entertainment like going to the cinema."

"This is a unique challenge, during which, throughout "For the entire month, you only need to buy the essentials and cut out unnecessary expenses. This approach turns saving into a game. Unlike open-ended goals ("never eat fast food"), a temporary restriction is easier to accept, and the results are immediately noticeable. This challenge can be launched any month; the main thing is to start," the statement explained.

Unfortunately, it remains unknown whether the officials initiating this "challenge" will participate in it themselves and inspire citizens by personal example, so to speak.

What if they even offer master classes? :sarcasm:
