Manhart tuners added almost 100 horsepower to the base BMW X6 (5 photos)
Manhart is known for its extreme BMW tuning, but their latest project is aimed at budget-conscious customers who don't need a significant power boost. The model in question is a base BMW X6 xDrive40i crossover with a 3.0-liter straight-six engine, whose output has been increased by almost 100 hp. The crossover also features a modified suspension and exterior, and is designated the MHX6 500. 
The standard engine in this BMW X6 trim produces 381 hp and 520 Nm. Manhart developed its own Mhtronik control unit, which increased output to 480 hp and 630 Nm. The engine comes with a custom exhaust system with four tips and a control valve.
The suspension features new anti-roll bars. They are said to lower the ride height, but exact figures are not provided. The X6 also features unique 22-inch staggered wheels with low-profile tires. For an additional fee, the customer can choose their color. Manhart can also modify the crossover's braking system, although the show car retained the factory brake system.
A set of carbon fiber parts designed by Larte Design adds a touch of aggression to the X6's exterior. These include a front bumper trim, a diffuser, and a compact rear spoiler. The Manhart crossover's interior is adorned with carbon fiber steering wheel spokes and paddle shifters.
