A cute robot companion with a personality has been created in Japan. Yukai Engineering unveiled the unique Mirumi robot toy—a chubby "sloth" that clings to bags and responds to petting just like a living creature.
Thanks to its long "arms," Mirumi clings easily to straps and poles, and sometimes "comes to life," looking around and turning its head when petted. The first prototypes were demonstrated at CES earlier this year, with mass production planned for May 2026.
Despite its cuteness, Mirumi is quite expensive. One fluffy toy costs around 6,000 hryvnias. It's worth noting that it has no practical function—its main purpose is to spread warmth and joy with its presence.
