Humanoid robot Ameca drew a cat and responded to criticism (2 photos + 1 video)
"You just don't understand art."
British company Engineered Arts, which created humanoid robot Ameca with actively developing facial expressions, once again improved their design. This time, Stable was introduced into the robot. Diffusion so that he "learns" how to draw.
Ameca gives a request to the neural network, simplifies the received image, and then calculates the trajectory of the movement of the marker to draw the desired lines with a marker on the board.
In the video, Ameca, at the request of an engineer, draws a cute cat - and discusses why people love cats so much. True, in the process of reasoning the robot does not say “you”, but “we” and “I” - that is, it considers itself to be a people (Or at least cat lovers).
At the end, Ameca asks the engineer how he likes the drawing - and he replies that this is quite a sketch. Ameca replies: "If you don't like my art, you probably just don't understand art."
It looks like the creators are already monetizing Ameca's new skill: in description of the video on YouTube, the creators recommend those who wish to receive a drawing from a robot and a video with its creation email for options and pricing.
