One of the rarest monkeys in the world

The golden langur is one of the rarest monkey species on the planet. The Rare Primate Rescue Center in Hanoi, Vietnam, had only one pair of these monkeys. However, in 2003, the center's golden langurs gave birth to a male—the first offspring of this endangered species, raising hope for its survival, at least in captivity.
