Joy of the day: endangered tiger cubs born (5 photos + 1 video)
There are only 350 Sumatran tigers left on the planet - that's one of the rarest subspecies. Therefore, recent news has become a joy for many animal rights activists: two cubs of the Sumatran tiger! 
Chester Zoo, England, good news - there two cubs of the Sumatran tiger were born. It's a joy for everyone animal rights activists and just those who care about animals, because these there are critically few tigers left - only about 350 individuals throughout planet. The babies were born to happy parents - tigers named Kasarna and Dash. 
These babies are very valuable for the entire population: "The birth of these cubs is a critical step in our many years of efforts to protect Sumatran tigers. We hope that in the future the tiger breeding program will continue to bear fruit. This is essential for the survival of all populations," said one of the zoo managers. 
Now the kids feel great and are surrounded by care. parents and caretakers. Cameras installed in the enclosure with tiger cubs surveillance, where they are closely monitored. Already in the spring (presumably in early April) they will grow up, become more independent - then zoo staff will determine their gender and give names. 
Sumatran tigers are endemic to the island of Sumatra, one of the most rare subspecies of tigers. Their status is on the verge of extinction, which in mainly due to the reduction of habitat, human activities and poaching. They are on the Red List of Threatened Species.
