A guy tried to teach an octopus to play a musical instrument.

Internet user Matthias Kranz set out to teach an octopus to play the piano. He bought the clam at a fish market, named it Taco, and began training it.

The author spent six months tinkering with his homemade piano, inventing keys with special levers so the octopus could stretch its tentacles and play chords.

To enable Taco to play not just one chord, but an entire melody, he had to build a special crab elevator—a device that would toss him crabs and motivate him to keep playing.
