In May, 22-year-old Kira Lyons and her 31-year-old sister, Maura, flew from Orlando to New Jersey, USA. Intoxicated, the girls caused a disturbance on board the plane and attacked staff.

The sisters were removed from the flight. On their way to the terminal, they pushed a security officer, causing her minor injuries.

Police asked for a description of their attackers. The woman said that Kira was young and slender, while Maura was overweight and older.

"As I was leaving the bridge, a skinny college student pushed me, and then her older, plumper sister pushed me down. As soon as I fell, all three passengers started running," she added, referring to the girls' aunt.

According to eyewitnesses, Kira yelled at the flight attendant and pointed at the passengers when she was asked to leave the plane.

According to social media, Maura has two children. Her younger sister used to play field hockey for Stockton University. She is now a gym trainer in New Jersey.

In the video, Kira is seen crying and telling the officer, "I have anxiety and depression."

The aunt tries to calm her down, but the girl continues to breathe heavily. Maura can be heard saying, "That guy [the flight attendant] pushed her, and she fell."

The passengers told the police their version of what happened.

The aunt began, "We were on the plane, and she needed to go to the bathroom." Maura continued, "The flight attendant asked if she was drunk, and she said she had a few. Then he pushed her and said it was okay because he was gay."

Kira told the officers that she was graduating the following day and that her father worked for the New Jersey Policemen's Benevolent Association. She insisted that her boyfriend dreamed of becoming a police officer, and that their whole family worked in law enforcement.

She complained that the flight attendant grabbed her by the lapels and pushed her down.

However, these stories didn't convince the officers. The girls were handcuffed and taken to the station.

"Can you at least take the handcuffs off me in the car?" Mora asked. "I'm not a criminal."

But in response, she heard: "Save your energy for arguing in court."

According to Orange County court records, Kira's case is closed. No charges have been filed against Mora.
