China has amazed the world with a new solar mega-station (photos + video)

China has stunned the world with its new solar mega-station! A gigantic field of silicon slabs, half the size of Moscow, has unfolded in the mountains of Tibet. The Talatan solar park covers 420 square kilometers at an altitude of three kilometers above sea level. The cold climate and bright sun make energy production extremely efficient. The Chinese plan to double the area by 2028 and increase its capacity fivefold by 2030. The facility already produces nearly 17 GW—enough to power a metropolis like Moscow.

When the sun sets, wind turbines and hydroelectric power plants pick up the energy, turning Tibet into a 24-hour power plant. All this power is used for servers and AI systems—from DeepSeek to robotic factories.
