A Pedal Tricycle with an Inclined Suspension is Being Prepared for Release in France (8 photos)
By pedaling, the driver can accelerate the Vigoz to 120 km/h.
French startup Cixi shared information about its project called Vigoz. The new product is a pedal-powered L5 tricycle with powerful electric support provided by an electric motor and a 22 kWh battery.
The driver has several pedal resistance settings, varying the intensity of the exercise and, accordingly, the level of electric motor intervention. Of course, when the energy supply runs out, the rider will have to work hard. However, this is only for emergencies, as the stated range on a full charge is 160 km, even without the benefits of regenerative braking.
In maximum electric assist mode, the tricycle can reach speeds of up to 120 km/h, and for improved maneuverability and stability, the Vigoz developers borrowed an active tilt mechanism from the world of motorcycles.
The Vigoz's enclosed, aerodynamically streamlined body is designed to accommodate two people and is equipped with the bare essentials for safe riding. The cargo area with a canopy is located outside.
Cixi has not yet determined the price of the Vigoz, as there is no production facility yet—only a running prototype. They plan to offer the tricycle by subscription, at least initially.
