A bridge across the Yangtze River has opened in China's Jiangsu Province. The 10.3-kilometer-long structure connects the cities of Changzhou and Taizhou.
The megastructure across the Yangtze River took six years to build.
The bridge will reduce travel time between the cities of Changzhou and Taizhou from 1 hour and 20 minutes to approximately 20 minutes, and a second level is also expected to accommodate a railway.

The bridge can support a load of 530,000 tons. It passed its final test before operation: 110 trucks, weighing a total of 4,400 tons, crossed it simultaneously.
