A passenger confused the plane's emergency door with a toilet (4 photos)

Last Thursday, Air China Flight 2754 was preparing to take off at Quzhou Airport. The passenger, who was on board the plane for the first time, went to look for a toilet in the rear section. The woman mistakenly opened the emergency exit door, causing the inflatable slide to activate.





"Even the flight attendants got scared when the evacuation slide popped out," said an eyewitness named Chen.

Pictures of the incident spread across Chinese social networks.



As a result of the incident, the flight was cancelled.

“The woman burst into tears when she learned that she would have to pay compensation,” Chen added.

The cost to activate an aircraft emergency door is approximately $28,000.





Police questioned the passenger, her name has not been released.
