In the UK, elderly racists attacked a nurse in a park (6 photos + 2 videos)
Apple, originally from the Philippines, had worked as a nurse in the UK for 15 years. On August 28, she and her family were out on Manor Heath Park in Halifax when a man and woman in their 60s approached her and began to hurl racial slurs. "You don't even speak English," the woman told Apple.
Her partner, pretending to be a rowboat, said, "Did you come here in a rowboat? Did you cross the Channel? This is no place for immigrants."
Apple responded, "But I care about you. I work in healthcare."
The man said rudely, "Why don't you just go to hell?" He then waved his hand at his little white dog and ordered it to "kill" Apple.
After the incident, the nurse posted on social media: "What happened only reinforced my decision to quit. I love my job, but some people don't deserve my time and attention. Justice must prevail."
Apple was not the only one attacked, but also her mother and a bystander who tried to stop the violence.
West Yorkshire Police said: "A man and woman have been arrested on suspicion of racially aggravated assault. Both are in custody and enquiries are ongoing. We would like to thank the public for their assistance."
Last week, police arrested a British man for vandalism. He painted England flags on the main street of Essex.
A video has appeared online showing two shirtless men climbing onto the roof of a shopping pavilion on Whitmore Way in Basildon. They paint England flags on the roof of the house, and then one of them starts shouting racist abuse at a woman with a child.
The 33-year-old vandal was charged with disorderly conduct, inciting racial hatred and conspiracy to cause damage. There was a scream in the video. But at the time, we didn’t hear it, which seemed quite strange to us,” Adam added.

The Briton has been to many places, but so far his favorite place is Chernobyl.
“Simply because it’s a whole city,” he explains. “It’s like living in the apocalypse, the roads are overgrown and the buildings are pushing through the forest.”
