In a Californian national park, the sun turns a waterfall into a lava flow
Yosemite National Park in California has a waterfall called Horsetail Falls. Only a few days a year do park visitors have the opportunity to see a rare phenomenon here. The water flow becomes similar to lava erupting from a volcano.
The rays of the setting sun briefly illuminate the falling stream of water, creating the effect of hot lava or molten metal pouring down from above.
