California's enormous redwoods are the largest trees and some of the oldest on Earth. These trees can grow up to 76 meters (25-story building), and their diameter at human chest level is 9 meters. The General Sherman tree in Sequoia National Park measures 1,478 m³, which is almost the height and weight of 21,800 68-pound people!
