An electric car for 5 thousand dollars from Geely (3 photos)
The Geely concern has released official photos of the new model of its sub-brand Livan — a cheap supercompact called Smurf. Thanks to the new photos, it became known what the interior of the city car will look like. The new product will cost around 36,000 yuan (5 thousand dollars).
The Livan Smurf is a rebadged version of the electric Geely Panda Mini EV, so both the exterior and interior of the models are identical. The interior features the familiar 9.2-inch digital instrument panel from the Panda, an 8-inch central multimedia touchscreen, a selector for controlling R, N, D driving modes with front electric window buttons, placed on the podium between the seats.
The ultra-cheap hatchback should also be equipped with air conditioning, Bluetooth, an application for remotely unlocking the doors, opening the trunk and controlling other functions. Three color options will be offered for the interior: Sakura Pink, Castle Gray and Forest Green.
The dimensions of the cartoon-like microhatchback are 3100x1585x1610 millimeters in length, width and height, respectively, with a wheelbase of 2015 millimeters. The body can be single-color or combined, the wheels are 14-inch.
The Livan Smurf will have a 40-horsepower electric motor, providing a maximum speed of 100 km/h, and a 17 kWh lithium-iron-phosphate traction battery. The CLTC range is about 200 kilometers. The vehicle's curb weight is 815 kilograms.
