The Chinese presented the 1224-steel electric hypercar GAC Hyper SSR (15 photos)
The Chinese concern GAC has released images and named some characteristics of the Hyper SSR electric coupe, which will hit the market under the Aion sub-brand. A hypercar with a 1224-horsepower power plant is capable of accelerating to 100 km/h in 1.9 seconds. The price of an electric car starts at 175 thousand dollars. 
With dimensions of 4556x1988x1230 millimeters and a wheelbase of 2650 millimeters, the Aion Hyper GT is almost identical in size to the Ferrari 458 Italia, which it vaguely resembles in appearance. The two coupes, for example, have similar silhouettes and head optics. At the same time, the Chinese new product looks rather restrained, despite the 20-inch wheels and a developed aerodynamic tail with an active spoiler. It is capable of generating up to 100 kilograms of downforce. Some of the body panels are made of carbon fiber.
The interior also turned out to be laconic, despite the original angular steering wheel and 14.6-inch central display. The instrument panel is also digital - its diagonal is 8.8 inches, and the screen is installed closer to the edge of the windshield. Armchairs with developed lateral support have leather trim, heating and ventilation. In addition, the Hyper SSR will be equipped with dual-zone climate control and 8 speakers.
The developers decipher SSR as Super, Sport, Race. This is an indirect hint at the three modifications that the hypercar will receive on the market. All of them are equipped with a 1224 hp power plant. and 1230 Nm with an unspecified number of engines, but differ in characteristics. The basic version will be able to accelerate to 100 km/h in 2.3 seconds, the intermediate version, priced at 1,386,000 yuan, will be able to accelerate in 1.9 seconds.
The top version was priced at another 300 thousand yuan more. The dynamics of this Hyper SSR are the same, but the most expensive coupe has a chassis adapted for track racing. The maximum speed for all modifications is the same - 250 km/h, as is the 75-kilowatt battery, which provides a range of 506 kilometers. Prices for European analogues like Rimac Nevera and Lotus Evija are much higher.
