Underwater photographers John Roney and Chris Mullen spotted a giant octopus (Enteroctopus dofleini) while diving in Nanoose Bay off Vancouver Island, Canada. As the divers approached the creature, it showed interest in the man and his video camera. The octopus wrapped its tentacles around the device, and one of the divers handed the working camera to the animal, which captured the unique video.

The octopus used the camera for a while, inadvertently capturing its suction cup-covered limbs and pale underbelly, before dropping the device, losing interest.
