77-year-old Sharon Lane from the United States has decided to give up her ordinary life as a pensioner. She sold all her belongings and went on a multi-year round-the-world trip on a cruise ship.
A 77-year-old American woman has sold her belongings and sailed away on an endless cruise. Sharon Lane hopes to spend at least 15 years on the ship.
The cruise ship Villa Vie Odyssey sails around the world. The most affordable cabin on board will cost $129,000 over 15 years, not counting the monthly fees of $2,000-$3,000. This amount includes meals (including alcoholic beverages), Wi-Fi access, medical care, and cleaning.
According to Grandma, living on the ship is cheaper and more comfortable than living in Southern California.
A bonus is the first-class fellow travelers - mostly long-term residents, including a Nobel laureate, an astronaut, and members of the scientific community.
