A teenage girl stole and sold her mother's jewelry worth one million yuan (equivalent to $140,000) for just 60 yuan, or $8, to buy lip pins and earrings. 
A funny incident occurred in Shanghai, China. A mother surnamed Wang accidentally found out that her teenage daughter was selling her jewelry worth about a million yuan for pennies.
The woman immediately reported the matter to the police station. An investigation revealed that the child had taken the jewelry from home to earn some pocket money for petty expenses.
The footage, which has gone viral online, shows that the stolen jewelry includes jade bracelets, necklaces and other gemstone-studded items.
