Men and boys prepare for the traditional Taashir war dance. This spectacular display of jumping and shooting classic muzzle-loading guns attracts large crowds.
The performers take the guns from the back of a truck, fill the barrels with gunpowder, and then one by one step out onto the central stage to demonstrate their skills in what is also known as the Taashir or fire dance.
No bullets are used, the cartridges are blanks.
