If you won $34 million, what would you do with it? A 73-year-old Brazilian man who suddenly hit the jackpot decided to get his teeth done first, and it turned out he shouldn't have done that.
Antonio Lopes de Siqueira, a rancher, became famous throughout the country after a huge lottery win, but the poor guy didn't have time to live the high life. Literally 25 days after winning, the grandfather gave up his soul in the dentist's office.
During the investigation of the incident, the police found that the amount of anesthesia used by the doctor was disproportionately high for the patient's health. It turned out that Siqueira suffered from several chronic diseases - heart disease, diabetes and hypertension. However, the doctor did not take these circumstances into account.
So the heart of the newly minted millionaire gave in.
The local prosecutor's office opened an official criminal case on the fact of negligence and medical error on the part of the doctor. According to the results of the investigation, Siqueira's death was not related to his wealth, but to medical negligence and lack of supervision.
Local media do not specify who inherited the deceased's inheritance.
