A Chinese Private Company Announces Plans to Launch Its Station into Orbit (3 photos)
I wonder if space tourism is planned?
While the whole world was watching the trade war between Trump and Xi with interest, China itself was not sitting idly by.
A private company, AZSpace, suddenly showed a concept of its unmanned orbital station. Moreover, the company's management says that it will be in orbit this year.
Founded in 2019, AZSpace specializes in the production of spacecraft and space tourism with the support of venture companies. The recently announced plans for manned orbital flights mark a significant expansion of its ambitions.
While the scientific community was distracted by the state-owned Tiangong station, the guys from AZSpace were working on their modular platform. Judging by the renderings, it will be something groundbreaking: low cost, high flexibility, modular design (this is the translation of the Chinese characters from the photo).
They plan to use the station for space experiments and even to assemble satellites right in orbit.
Hardened fans of the space future are already discussing what the cunning Chinese will do at this station.
