The buggy driven by Jason Statham in the film "Fast and Furious 7" was put up for auction (20 photos)
The Bring a Trailer portal is selling a homemade buggy built for the movie Furious 7. It is equipped with a 6.2-liter LS3 V8 engine. In the frame, the car was driven by Jason Statham's character, but it is unknown whether he was driving this particular example: in total, six buggies were built for the action movie, of which only three survived. At the moment, the maximum bid is $ 15,000.
The buggy is made according to a primitive design: fiberglass panels hide a spatial steel frame. Good off-road qualities are provided by minimal overhangs of the body and a long-travel suspension. Off-road tires are mounted on reinforced wheels. Disc brakes on all wheels.
A 6.2-liter LS3 V8 engine is installed in the front. The GM engine is widely known from the Camaro and Corvette models. On the buggy, it produces 430 hp and is paired with a three-speed automatic. The transmission was not complicated, so the car has only rear-wheel drive.
The ascetic cockpit has one MasterCraft racing bucket and the necessary minimum of instruments. In front of the driver, behind the quickly removable steering wheel, there is a large LCD display, which displays images from external cameras.
