A dolphin jumped into a boat with fishermen in New Zealand and got stuck (2 photos + 1 video)
The fishermen were unable to return the dolphin to the sea because of its size. They called the environmental agency.
The fishermen were fishing on the rocks on the northern coast of New Zealand's North Island, and the dolphins were playing in front. At some point, the men heard a crash and saw one of them jump on board.
"I decided to jump on board and say hello. Like lightning, a large dolphin appeared in our boat, which began to move and destroy everything around," one of the fishermen said.
But they couldn't return the dolphin to the sea because of its size - it was simply stuck.
The men notified the New Zealand conservation agency. Along the way, they poured water on the dolphin and covered it with a towel from the sun.
On the shore, members of the local Maori tribe prayed for the dolphin before it was returned to the ocean with the help of a tractor. The dolphin was named Tohu, which means "sign" in Maori.
