A private spacecraft Blue Ghost 1 landed on the Moon (3 photos + 2 videos)
And has already transmitted the first photo and video from the surface of the Earth's satellite.
The private agency Firefly Aerospace sent a probe to the Moon. It landed in a place with the characteristic name "Sea of Crises" and transmitted the first frames from the surface of the Earth's satellite.
The price of the issue is 101 million dollars. And the probe was sent to the Moon from Cape Canaveral, on the Falcon-9 ship.
For braking during landing, Blue Ghost uses one engine, which runs on high-boiling fuel components, monomethylhydrazine and nitrogen oxidizer. Before touching down, it is switched off, and the landing is carried out using maneuvering engines.

The dimensions of the device are 2 meters high by 3.5 meters wide. This is not the first private probe sent to the Moon - first there was IM-1 and the Japanese miracle-yudo - both broke down. And the third attempt was successful.
The device is equipped with 94 kilograms of scientific instruments - a pneumatic temperature probe LISTER, it dives to a depth of up to three meters to study the heat flow from the subsurface, a pneumatic system for collecting soil samples PlanetVac, and much more.

The purpose of the launch is to attract private companies to the development of the Earth's satellite. Apparently, the mission was a success.
