Located at an altitude of 150 meters above sea level, the Private Jet Villa by Hanging Gardens is one of the most interesting projects for the conversion of an old aircraft. Felix Demin managed to transform a decommissioned Boeing 737 into a luxurious two-bedroom house on the top of a cliff next to the wild Nyang Nyang beach.
It took Demin 3 years to implement his idea, and now his villa is in great demand.
“Even before the purchase, I thought that the plane could be turned into some kind of unique object, and decided to create a villa,” Demin told CNN in an interview. “I want people to experience the “wow effect” from every second of their stay in this unique place ".
The Boeing 737 was originally owned by the now defunct Mandala Airlines and was located on the island of Bali.
It took two months just to plan the operation to transport the aircraft to the rock, and after consultations with Boeing, it was decided to deliver the aircraft in parts.
"We had to disassemble it after consultation with the Boeing team, we removed 50,000 bolts," the businessman said.
“The fact is that in Bali there are very narrow roads and a lot of hanging wires,” the man explained. “We had a whole team that, using special equipment, raised the wires higher so that the plane would not touch them during transportation.”
Demin's plans turned out to be too bold for most contractors, but in the end he achieved his goal, and the villa turned out exactly as he had planned. The cockpit has been transformed into a stylish bathroom with ocean views, and one wing has become a terrace.
The plane has undergone numerous checks and meets safety requirements; a special barrier has also been installed on the rock.
Private Jet Villa by Hanging Gardens welcomed its first guests in April 2023. One night will cost a minimum of $1,600, but packages can cost up to $7,000.
