How much do you think it cost to fix this damage? (2 photos)
The owner of a Rivian R1T pickup posted a photo of the damage. He asked commenters to guess how much it would cost to repair the minor accident. 
According to the owner, he didn't notice a small concrete column in the parking lot. As a result, the taillight cracked. The panel underneath has scratches and, possibly, a small dent. The damage appears to be minor. 
Initially, the insurance company estimated the repair at about $1,400. However, the final bill from the dealer was several times higher: $7,490. Even taking into account possible hidden damage, this is an astronomical amount.
The author of the post did not attach a bill breakdown. Therefore, it is unclear what the price was made up of.
