A motorcycle with big red balls instead of wheels
Inventor James Bruton showed an electric motorcycle that rides on two large red balls. This design allows the motorcycle to move in any direction. There is little practical use for this vehicle, but it looks impressive.
To maintain balance, the motorcycle uses five electric motors and a special inertial unit that constantly measures the position of the vehicle relative to the ground.
The control system is also unusual: the right handle is responsible for moving forward and backward, and the left one is for turning. The motorcycle can turn like a hovercraft or like a regular motorcycle - it all depends on the settings.
Six lithium-polymer batteries are responsible for power, connected in a 50-volt system. Bruton joked that if it were possible to use static electricity from two giant red "balls", the motorcycle might never need recharging.
Most of the design parts are printed on a 3D printer according to the inventor's own drawings. Bruton not only creates amazing gadgets, but also writes software for them.
