The military published a touching video for the Day of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and St. Nicholas__ Miracles happen
The Ground Forces Command congratulated servicemen on the Day of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and St. Nicholas Day with a touching video. The video, published on the Facebook page of the Ground Forces Commander, was filmed by Ukrainian artists, and St. Nicholas was played by Bohdan Benyuk. Censor.NET reports this.
"Miracles happen. Today we are all waiting for gifts from Saint Nicholas, our personal little miracle. But you and I know for sure: in Ukraine Saint Nicholas wears a pixel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and "talan" combat boots. Saint Nicholas opens his front-line backpack with gifts. And puts a pinch of hope under each of our pillows. And he gives the occupiers such "cuts" that after them they are left with only one thing - a ticket to Kobzon's concert. But the biggest miracle that he creates is that you and I live in our free Ukraine. Which, despite everything, continues to resist the Russian invaders," the Ground Forces commented on the video.
The director of the video, Anastasia Volodina, admitted that she tried to create a festive mood among the military with her work.
"It was a difficult and important shoot for me. Making congratulations on the Day of the Armed Forces of Ukraine humorous seemed a bit risky, but I personally wanted to make sure that not only children were in a festive mood on this day," she emphasized.
One of the authors of the video, Deputy Commander of the Center for Information and Communication Support of the Ground Forces Taras Tkachenko, talking about the idea of the video, noted that St. Nicholas is the patron saint of defenders.
"In general, St. Nicholas is the patron saint of all those who are far from home and need protection. That is why we came up with the idea of a fairy-tale congratulation for our defenders on their professional holiday. I wanted to give our soldiers a feeling of warmth and home comfort, which they missed so much. That is where the idea of this particular video was born, which would give a smile and a sense of celebration," said Taras Tkachenko.
