The lights on the country's main Christmas tree were lit on Sophia Square in the capital. Like last year, this was done on St. Nicholas Day. In 2023, this holiday in Ukraine will be celebrated for the first time on December 6.

Anyone can buy a Christmas tree decoration for a donation at the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The height of the tree is 12 meters. It is artificial, and at the top there is a large trident. Over the past two years, it has been installed using funds from patrons. The theme of the tree is "brave hearts".
