The 65-year-old owner of a unique house, Clewis Howatson, only feels at home when he sees and hears cars driving around him. The father of seven and grandfather of 12 lives on the ring road with his wife Anwen and admits it's not always easy.

"When drivers drive on the ring road, they don't expect anyone to come out from the island itself, so they have to do a few takes. But we don't have a problem with that - we just wait until it gets a little quieter, which sometimes happens," says the owner of the bungalow, which has been in his family for over 60 years.



The grandfather also adds that delivery drivers often drive around in circles, confused, trying to find his address.

"We have the same postcode as the surrounding houses, so it can take a while for drivers to realise that we live right on the roundabout. Unless they've been there before, of course. When I explain directions on the phone, I say, 'No, no, we're not on the roundabout - we're actually in it,'" he adds.

Oddly enough, accidents on this stretch of road are rare. Clivid says they've seen "nothing serious" over the years, apart from a few accidents when the roundabout was first built and confused drivers drove around it in violation of the rules. rules.





"We live in a convenient location, thanks to which it is easy to get to the destination. Also, we do not have to worry about neighbors, since there are none here. And most of our family members live nearby. It's not that bad. We have double glazing, so the noise is not a big problem - the road only gets really busy during rush hour, which is a couple of times a day," the man shares.



Klivid assures that he and his wife may think about moving when they get older, but they hope that this house will remain in their family for many years to come.
