Kia has shown an updated version of the Sportage and Sportage X-Line crossover, and even announced the prices.





Visually, the restyled Sportage is easiest to distinguish by the front end. The car has a changed radiator grille, bumper and headlights in the style of the updated Sorento and Carnival. The changes in the rear are less noticeable and come down to the design of the bumper, as well as a different filling of the lights.

The interior of the Sportage primarily attracts attention with a two-spoke steering wheel, but this is far from the only new feature. The crossover has a different front panel with modified air ducts for the blowing system, the shape of the tablet that combines the media complex and the digital instrument panel is different, and the specialists have adjusted the location of the keys on the central console.

As for the equipment, the company emphasizes the appearance of a projection display, improved driver assistants, a built-in video recorder, a fingerprint scanner, an upgraded media system that now supports over-the-air updates, as well as the ability of the steering wheel to vibrate to draw attention to the traffic situation.

The main innovation in the technical part of the SUV will be a combination of an 8-speed automatic and a 1.6-liter turbo engine. Previously, such a unit was offered with a 7-speed robot. Engineers also worked with the settings of the power plants, suspension and added soundproofing materials to make driving the Sportage even more comfortable. It is not yet known what technical changes await the global version of the model.
