Local residents complain of constant noise and streets dirty with bird droppings.

Biologists report that thousands of parrots have literally attacked the city of Hilario Ascasubi, which is located near the Argentine capital of Buenos Aires.

The birds are forced to leave their usual habitats due to large-scale deforestation. The mass invasion of birds is bothering local residents: the parrots are annoying with loud screeching, chewing through cables, which causes power outages, and polluting the city with bird droppings.

Local residents have tried various methods of scaring them away, such as noise and laser radiation, but nothing has helped.

"We need to start restoring our nature. But until this happens, we must think about ways that will allow us to live together as harmoniously as possible in our cities," says biologist Diana Lera.

The active invasion of birds into cities has been going on for several years. It intensifies during the cold season: in the fall and winter, parrots fly to cities in search of food. In summer, the birds migrate south to the cliffs of Patagonia for the breeding season.
