The vast flat area of the park is covered with huge sand dunes, reaching up to 40 m in height.
During the rainy season, water accumulates between the dunes, forming many lagoons that create a uniquely beautiful landscape - turquoise, green and blue mirrors of lakes among snow-white velvety sands.
This fantastic landscape stretches over an area of more than 1.5 thousand km2, it goes into the mainland for almost 270 km, and the length of the dunes along the coastline is about 44 km.
