A German woman posing as an empress was arrested in Italy (3 photos)
She was part of high society and even founded her own "imperial house".
She also owned Bentleys and Ferraris with license plates issued for other cars. One of them had a truck registered in Germany.
A 49-year-old German citizen, Sandra Nicole Martinez, who pretended to be an empress, was detained in Italy. The deception was revealed due to the fact that the fraudster regularly violated traffic rules: she was arrested by the Italian traffic police.
Martinez has been charged with fraud and forgery of documents and faces a fine of up to €100,000. According to the publication, the German called herself an empress and was part of the high society of Rome. The woman even founded her own "imperial house of Glodeni" and proclaimed herself its head. However, in fact, Glodeni is a city in Moldova.
As it turned out, Martinez often violated traffic rules and accumulated 600 fines for a total of €2.6 thousand. She also owned Bentley and Ferrari cars with license plates issued for other cars. For example, a truck was registered to one of them in Germany.
Perhaps Martinez was inspired by the story of the famous fraudster Anna Sorokina. She pretended to be a wealthy heiress named Delvey and lived a luxurious life in New York on loans. In May 2022, Delvey was released from a federal prison in the United States. The court left her under house arrest and also banned her from posting content on social networks.
However, Delvey recently returned to social media: the court gave her official permission. The fraudster posted a series of her photos on Instagram for the first time since 2022 and said that she can finally “take control of her own story again.”
