Police officers in South Carolina (USA) arrested a woman who pretended to be pregnant, but in fact used a false belly as a hiding place for transporting one and a half kilograms of cocaine.
According to the police report, on April 12, representatives of the office Anderson County Sheriff's Office stopped Anthony Miller and Semeka Mitchum (both residents of Charlotte, North Carolina) on a freeway during proactive patrol. The reason was inadequate driving: the car crossed several lanes and almost crashed into a truck with semi-trailer.
The couple acted nervously. Man and woman on their own the initiative was informed that the lady was pregnant, but aroused suspicion patrolmen, because they gave conflicting information about the alleged date of birth. They also failed to give a clear answer about where they were going.
They were asked to get out of the car. The indications became more confusing, and the patrol officers' suspicions grew. The woman is not survived and tried to jerk away from the police and run away, but then she there was a premature "birth" - the stomach peeled off and fell to the ground about 1.5 kg of cocaine. Also in the car after the inspection was found marijuana.
Both Mitcham and Miller were arrested. They are charged with drug trafficking.
“It’s not every day that we see something like this,” police officials say.
